About Me

Hello! My name is Jen Ardill. 


I recently transitioned from working/living among the formerly homeless with Mobile Loaves & Fishes and have begun to explore what the next thing was for me. After talking with my dear friend from Grad School, I began to see a need for online presence for the Wholesaler she is working with.  And thus Purse & Clutch was born.

The mission of Purse & Clutch is to partner with local economies to create dignified, living wage jobs for those in need. We place a high value on relationships, generosity, beauty, and intentionality, and use these values as decisions filters. 

We purchase our handbags from JOYN, a fair trade, wholesale company with a vision to connect the poor with Western markets. They provide the people of Dehradun, India, the opportunity to work in a great environment and provide for their families. The employees of JOYN take the time to know, understand, and love those with whom they work.

In the between time, I love creating beautiful things. This blog is my space to share what creative projects I'm working on. I hope you are inspired to make beautiful things of your own!
